Established in 1854, Dublin University Football Club can be proud of the fact that it is the oldest existing rugby club in the world. The club is the official rugby club of Trinity College Dublin, one of the worlds oldest and highly respected universities.

The clubs main playing field is situated within the picturesque college grounds, in the heart of Dublin's city centre. The club have two more fields only fifteen minutes from the college in Santry in the suburbs of an ever growing city.

The story of the establishment of the club as one of the first sports clubs in Ireland can be read in club history. The club's 1st XV are currently playing rugby in the All-Ireland League Division 2, after controversially getting relegated from Division One. Our 2nd XV, 3rd XV and 4th XV currently play in the Leinster J1, J3 and J4 leagues respectively.

Trinity Under 20's squad are currently one of the dominant forces in Irish rugby. The A XV have played in three of the past four All Ireland finals. Winning two and losing narrowly to Shannon last season to a last minute drop goal 15-14. The U20s B won the Leinster First Division and came runner up in the Purcell Cup.
