TRINITY FALL TO OLD CRESCENT!! 23/02/2008 Trinity 12pts Old Crescent 16pts This was Trinity 1st XV fourth loss in a row in a worrying slide from possible promotion contenders to possible relegation in one month. The students started the game brightly scoring two tries early on and looked comfortable with a 12pt lead. Superb tries from out half Johnny Watt and wing Shane Hanratty looked to put the students out to an unassailable lead. The students inexplicably let Old Crescent back into the game with several handling errors. The Limerick men took there opportunity with both hands and scored two penalties and a penalty try before half time. In the second half Crescent held onto the ball and dominated territory. They managed another penalty midway through the second half. Trinity struggled to get anything going in the second half and became more and more frustrated.
