TRINITY NAME TEAM FOR COLOURS – U20s BEAT LANSDOWNE

Trinity Captain Johnny Iliff this morning announced the team to play in the 2009-10 Colours game Vs UCD at Donnybrook on Thursday 6.30pm Kick off. The Dublin City based University has nine new Colours to the squad including five on the starting XV.

 

Both University XVs ply their trade in the AIB Division two. Trinity are currently in sixth place on 28pts, with UCD in tenth on 24pts. Significantly if UCD win their game in hand they will go level with Trinity with three games to go, which just goes to show how tight the margins are going to be in this years interesting historic match up.

Other news; Trinity U20s beat a tough Lansdowne XV 10-8 in an entertaining “Super Six” encounter at College park yesterday getting revenge for a narrow loss only two weeks ago to the same opponent. Although the winning margin was tight the Students deserved their hard fought win scoring two superb tries by both wings Niyi Adeolokun and Ariel Roblez. Trinity now have to play League leaders St Mary’s College in Templeville road next weekend.

 

Trinity J4s lost their return Colours game V UCD 16-10 in another hard fought physical game. Trinity won the earlier encounter this season, and the Belfield boys avenged that loss on Saturday
