TRINITY 2NDS AND U20S WIN!!

With the 1^st XV off for a week, it was time for the Trinity 2nds and U20s to step up to take centre stage.

In College Park in what was probably the best result of the season by any team in the club, the Trinity  2nds (J1) were outstanding in a 20-10 win over Clontarf who have been undefeated this season.

The 2nds came out the gate on fire and out- half Dave Joyce scored early on. Prop Ian Hirst capped a fine individual performance with a try. Dave Joyce kicked two penalties to complete the scoring. Trinity’s defence and discipline were very good on the day as they held out for a memorable win.

U20s

In Blackrock College School, the U20s Premier XV won their 2^nd game in a row when they defeated a well organised Blackrock U20s XV 29-23 in a fast and open game with Trinity playing some superb running Rugby.  Trinity won the game 5-3 on the try count and recorded a bonus point for four tries.

 

Trinity Pennant XV got back on the winning trail with a hard fought 17-5 win in Newbridge which leaves them in 2^nd place in their group. They play league leaders Seapoint on Thursday night 8pm Kick off.

 

Trinity J3s were beaten by Bective 23-5 and the J4s narrowly lost to league leaders Guinness 14-12 in their game on Saturday.

 

 

NEXT WEEKEND lst XV play Bective in the AIL in College Park at 2.30p.m.
