TRINITY TRAVEL TO USA FOR TRAINING CAMP

Trinity have a busy weekend coming up when they take on Blackrock College this Saturday at Stradbrook 3pm KO in The Leinster Senior Cup. A win for Trinity would qualify them for the All Ireland cup last sixteen.
On Sunday Trinity 1st XV squad travel to Penn State for their bi-annual training camp. They will be hosted by the local university. Trinity will spend five nights in State College Pennsylvania. They will be training three times a day preparing for the All Ireland league.
They travel back to New York where they will participate in the ‘Remembrance Tournament’ along with three USA super league teams including 2005 USA champions New York Athletic Club (NYAC), their hosts while in Manhattan. This tournament will consist of two 50 minute games in Travers Island, NY, grounds of NYAC.
In this tournament Trinity could face two old boys Richard White with NYAC and Peter “Stretch” Lennon who is with Boston Irish. The other US team competing is New York Old Blue who were National semi finalists last season.
The touring party will consist of 33 players and five staff.
