Established in 1854, Dublin University Football Club can be proud of the fact that it is the oldest existing rugby club in the world. The club is the official rugby club of Trinity College Dublin, one of the worlds oldest, and highly respected universities. The clubs main playing fields are situated within the picturesque college grounds, in the heart of Dublin's city centre, with more playing fields only ten minutes from the college in the suburbs of an ever growing city. The story of the establishment of the club as one of the first sports clubs in Ireland can be read in club history.

The club's 1st XV are currently playing rugby in the All-Ireland League Division 2, after gaining promotion in 2002 from division 3. You can read about the current members of the 1st XV squad in player profiles. Our 2nd XV, 3rd XV and 4th XV currently play in the Leinster J1, J3 and J4 leagues respectively, while our Under 20's side are currently one of the dominant forces in the competitions in which they compete.

Any club requires a number of dedicated individuals to ensure smooth day-to-day running. You can see the people behind Dublin University Football Club, and read messages from the club president, director of rugby and club captain in club officers.
