Congratulations must go to Former Trinity loose-head prop Ian Hirst who has been handed his first professional contract with Leinster. “Hirsty” played five years with Trinity. The past two seasons he has been with Clontarf. Ian cut his teeth and learned his trade with Trinity. He is the second front row player from the 2012-13 team who has gone into the professional ranks the other being Martin Kelly with Munster. Ian was a notorious scrummager and ball carrier with Trinity and everyone who played with him knew he had the ability to play at the top level. It is great that he now has this opportunity.
