On a bitterly cold and windy December day, the ‘Premier XV’ completed their 2 leg series win over UCD to win the Jamsie Meaher Cup, despite having to give up home advantage as a result of the condition of College Park.

With the quality of the game defying the conditions, it was a tremendous advertisement for University rugby and especially for the Trinity Academy given the attacking rugby served up by the Trinity team. With the match in the bowl drawn at 20-20, Trinity won the cup on the basis of the previous 15-7 win, again away in the “Bowl”.
