Johnny Feehan went to school at CBC Monkstown prior to attending Trinity College Dublin and the College of Marketing and Design.

Johnny played tight-head prop for various teams including  D.U.F.C. (Colours 1985/88), Old Belvedere and Old Wesley while earning representative honours with the Irish Schools, the Irish Universities and Leinster.

He was CEO of three incredible rugby brands:

the Six Nations
– still the biggest annual rugby tournament in the world;

The British & Irish Lions
– for 16 years,

the United Rugby Championship (predecessor)
– for 5 years.

Since stepping down as the CEO of these properties three years ago, John with Derek McGrath set up Sport2Sport, a specialist sports business consultancy. He is also now Chairman of a specialist sports travel business, Irish Rugby Tours (IRT), as well as having a number of other business interests.

For our first Barrington Lunch speaker since the Covid disruption we are privileged to have a D.U.F.C. alumnus with such a wealth of experience both on the playing and the  commercial side of our game. We look forward to it immensely.
